Craniosacral - Eye Problems
Visual symptoms can include blurred vision, double vision (seeing one object as two or more), migraine aura, eye twitching, eyeball is rotated in or out.
Disturbances to our senses of vision and hearing are often the result of neural imbalance or compression of cranial bones through either injury, or stress.
Electrical impulses (messages) which travel along our nerves are disrupted, interfered with, or blocked by either physical (bony displacement, fascial or muscular restriction) or chemical factors (lack of neurotransmitter chemicals to bridge our synapses).
With Craniosacral Therapy we work gently with the skull, assessing spatial relationships between bones and their individual movement (NO bone manipulation involved), addressing connective tissue (fascial) and muscular restrictions connected to the skull, and sensing neural function of the vestibulocochlear, optic and oculomotor nerves. We work to balance neural function through the fluid system surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
We also work with the optic muscles as they are attached to bones and can be gently maneurved to enable a release of muscular tension which can distort or reduce vision.
We do not guarantee cures, but then nor do doctors. A series of Craniosacral sessions may save you thousands on costly and invasive eye surgery and we have seen patients experience an improvement in their vision requiring them to get new glasses of a lesser magnification.
Treatment Plan length will vary according to severity of symptoms and response to each treatment. We suggest initially 6 treatments involving proper patient participation in following our advice and avoiding aggravating activities to assess whether we feel this style of treatment will work for you to alleviate symptoms or with further treatment rectify or reduce the presenting problem.
Reduces severity and frequency of migraine aura and 'pain behind the eyes' with a migraine
Improves vision - see further or with more clarity close-up and far away objects
Reduces number of and severity of headaches
Reduces muscular tension holding the eyeball and around the eye - softening wrinkles
Stops eye strain
Can reduce or fix strabismus (one eyeball rotated, cross eyes)
